Best wardrobe clothes hangers compared in 2026

A wardrobe full of mismatched hangers rarely looks or works its best, so it helps to pick a set that suits what you hang. The five packs here cover four materials: wood, plastic, velvet-coated ABS and rubber-coated metal. Wooden hangers are the broadest and most traditional. Plastic is available in chunkier and slimmer shapes. Velvet-coated and rubber-coated styles add a textured surface and a slim frame. Pack size ranges from 20 to 25, and details such as trouser bars, notches, clips and swivel hooks vary, so the right choice depends on your coats, shirts and trousers.
