Best laundry baskets for bedrooms and bathrooms compared in 2026

Laundry baskets come in very different formats, so it helps to decide what you need before comparing litres. This roundup covers two tall fabric hampers with lids and detachable bags, a round collapsible fabric basket, a flat-folding plastic tub and a rigid lidded basket with a woven-rattan look. Capacities range from 60L to 105L, and heights run from 28cm to 79cm. Tall, narrow designs suit a bedroom corner or a slim bathroom gap, while wide, low tubs are easier to carry to the machine. Measure the space where the basket will stand, and check how it carries and stores, as these are not interchangeable styles.

Lifewit 85L Laundry Basket with Lid, Foldable, Handles & Bag, Beige | Large Dirty Clothes Organiser with Plastic Frame for Laundry Room, Bedroom and Bathroom

Our Top Pick

Lifewit

This Lifewit hamper is a practical option for a bedroom or bathroom. It holds 85L in a 43 x 33 x 60cm frame, so it is shorter than the 105L Lifewit while still offering plenty of room. It has a lid, a detachable inner bag and handles on both sides, and it supports up to 16kg. Assembly uses the four support rods and hooks, and the plastic frame keeps the fabric upright.
